Nancy E. Ballew, artist

The principal artist of Ballew Studio, Inc., Nancy E. Ballew is an Atlanta based artist specializing in hand-painted fine art murals, painted illusion, and decorative scenery for residential interiors, corporate and commercial projects. Although Ballew mainly paints in the traditional and old world styles, she is also at home creating whimsical images for nurseries and playrooms. An accomplished painter with a BFA in Illustration and Painting from Auburn University, Ballew developed her exceptional eye for dramatic color and composition as a set designer for Griggs, Van Horn and Associates, an Atlanta based special events decorating company.

Besides her extensive residential work, Nancy Ballew has murals in two downtown Atlanta buildings listed on the National Register: the Capital City Club and Muse's Lofts. Ballew has produced several murals in the Atlanta Market Center, the Chicago Merchandise Mart and the Dallas Market center. Her corporate murals can be seen in showrooms as close as Alpharetta, Georgia and as far away as Taunton, Massachusetts. Ballew's murals also adorn the halls of several metropolitan Atlanta area schools.  

 
 



Nancy Ballew has designed and produced scenery for many corporations including Microsoft, The Coca-Cola Company, CSX Intermodal, The Home Depot, and the
Atlanta Braves.  Her scenery has also been displayed at several high profile events in
the Atlanta area including Atlanta Symphony Ball, the Atlanta Mayor's Inaugural
Ball, and Zoo Atlanta's Beastly Feast.


Nancy Ballew currently teaches hands-on mural workshops in the Atlanta area.
She has also lead workshops in Siena, Italy, and participated as a guest mural demonstrator for Vaulted Secrets at Fauxcademy.

Nancy Ballew’s service projects include facilitating community mural projects, adorning the walls of youth institutions and serving on the Board of a local non-profit decorative artists guild.

Ballew is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers Industry Partners (ASID), the Stencil Artisans League, Inc. (SALI), and Peachtree Decorative Artists. Ballew Studio, Inc. is fully licensed and insured.
